This house saw a tremendous transformation as you can see from this “Before” photo.
According to Sean Hegstad, architect for the project, “Our clients are discovering that remodeling is a good choice for the environment. One advantage is low site disturbance. This house, though a major design change, kept its existing foundation structure. There was literally no site disturbance. No bulldozers cut the soil, no trees were felled. And nearly all materials were reused.”
The client wanted a close up of the living room to show the flavor of the new remodel so we came up with this. I used a bit of flash to properly expose the window but had to be careful to allow the paper lights to show their glow.
